SHAMANIC JOURNEYING

LOWER WORLD RELEASE & LET GO

A full training document will be emailed to you once you have signed up for the course. Below is an overview of the Lower World – Release and Let Go session

This journey returns to the Lower World, working with it as a place of grounding, honesty, and deep inner work. The Lower World is often the most appropriate landscape for journeys that involve emotional processing, pattern recognition, and release. It offers a steady, embodied space where change can happen gently and at a pace that feels manageable.

This session follows on naturally from earlier Lower World journey work. While it is recommended that the courses are taken in sequence, you are welcome to attend even if this is your first experience of journeying.

Please note that some foundational teachings and explanations are covered in the introductory course and are not repeated here, due to time constraints and the depth of the work being undertaken. The session is held in a way that remains accessible and supportive, but it will move directly into the journey rather than revisiting earlier material.

This journey is not about forcing release or deciding in advance what should be let go. Instead, it creates space to explore what may be ready to shift, soften, or be laid down, and how that might happen in a way that feels safe and respectful.

The session will include:

  • An opening circle using the talking stick

  • Working with the altar as a source of grounding and support

  • A guided journey to the Lower World focused on release, letting go, and energetic or emotional clearing

  • A closing circle

You will be invited to bring five meaningful items with you. These can be crystals, amulets, small objects, pieces of jewellery, or anything else that feels right.

Each item should represent one of the five directions we work with: Fire, Water, Earth, Air, and Spirit.

The item for Spirit is the most personal. This is not about symbolism or getting it “right”. Spirit represents you. Choose something that feels deeply meaningful, something that holds your essence, your story, or your presence in the work.

You are also welcome to bring anything that will help you feel comfortable and settled, such as a blanket, slippers, or water. A journal and pen are recommended. Please bring what you need, but keep it simple.
