UPPER WORLD SPIRIT GUIDES

A full training document will be emailed to you once you have signed up for the course. Below is an overview of the Upper World – Spirit Guides session.

In this session, the term "Spirit Guides" is used in a broad, inclusive sense. It may be experienced as guidance, presence, wisdom, ancestors, archetypal energies, or a sense of connection that feels supportive and orienting. There is no expectation that this will appear in a specific form, or that it will be seen, heard, or named.

This session follows on naturally from the Lower World journey work, including the Power Animal course. While it is recommended that the courses are taken in sequence, you are welcome to attend this session even if it is your first experience of journeying.

Please be aware that some foundational teachings and explanations are covered in the introductory course and are not repeated here, due to time constraints and the depth of the work being undertaken. The session is held in a way that remains accessible and supportive, but it will move directly into the Upper World journey rather than revisiting earlier material.

The session will include:

  • An opening circle using the talking stick

  • Working with the altar as a source of support and orientation for the journey

  • A guided journey to the Upper World to explore connection with sources of guidance and support (spirit guides)

  • A closing circle

You will be invited to bring five meaningful items with you. These can be crystals, amulets, small objects, pieces of jewellery, or anything else that feels right.

Each item should represent one of the five directions we work with: Fire, Water, Earth, Air, and Spirit.

The item for Spirit is the most personal. This is not about symbolism or getting it “right”. Spirit represents you. Choose something that feels deeply meaningful, something that holds your essence, your story, or your presence in the work.

You are also welcome to bring anything that will help you feel comfortable and settled, such as a blanket, slippers, or water. A journal and pen are recommended. Please bring what you need, but keep it simple.
