A WALK IN BEAUTY

A full training document will be emailed to you once you have signed up for the course. Below is an overview of A Walk in Beauty – An Intentional Walk in the Natural World.

This session steps away from formal journeying and brings the work into the body and the landscape around us. A Walk in Beauty is a simple, intentional practice of moving through the natural world with awareness, presence, and respect. It is about slowing down, noticing, and allowing ourselves to be in relationship with the land rather than passing through it.

The focus is not on reaching a destination, covering distance, or achieving anything in particular. Instead, the walk becomes a way of listening. To the body. To the senses. To what is happening internally as we move through the external world. This practice supports grounding, nervous system regulation, and a sense of connection that does not require belief or interpretation.

This session can stand alone and is suitable for those new to the work as well as those continuing their journey. No prior experience is required.

The session will include:

  • An opening circle using the talking stick and setting intention for the session

  • Guidance on walking with awareness and respect for the natural environment

  • A slow, intentional walk in nature, with periods of quiet and observation. Opportunities to pause, notice, and reflect individually as this is a solo walk

  • A closing circle to gently integrate the experience

You will be invited to bring one or two small, meaningful items if you wish, such as a crystal, a natural object, or something that helps you feel anchored.

Please wear clothing and footwear suitable for the weather and terrain. You may also wish to bring water, a layer for warmth, and a journal and pen.

This walk is approached with care and simplicity. You are encouraged to move at your own pace and to take part in a way that feels respectful of your body and energy on the day.
