MEDICINE WHEEL
SHAMANIC JOURNEYING

Shamanic journeying is an ancient practice of entering an altered state to connect with the unseen worlds and the wisdom that lives there.

Through guided journeying, you are invited to explore symbolic inner landscapes described as the lower, middle, and upper worlds. These are not places to get right or wrong, but ways of orienting attention and understanding. Within them, people may encounter images, sensations, memories, inner allies, or a simple sense of knowing that can offer perspective, clarity, or reassurance.

This work is less about learning something new and more about remembering what is already present. Journeys may support reflection, emotional release, reconnection, or gentle guidance during times of change. Any insight that arises is held lightly, with meaning unfolding over time rather than being forced.

All journeying at The Phoenix Centre is taught with care, clarity, and strong boundaries. No previous experience is needed. You are encouraged to come exactly as you are, move at your own pace, and engage only with what feels appropriate for you.

The courses begin by establishing solid foundations. This includes creating a sense of safety, grounding the body, and finding an inner place of steadiness or refuge before any deeper journey work is introduced.

From there, the work unfolds gradually within the Medicine Wheel framework, using journeying to explore balance, support, and understanding. Practices of release, integration, and retrieval are introduced gently and responsibly, always with an emphasis on grounding, self-empowerment, and bringing what is learned back into everyday life.

This is careful, respectful work. Nothing is rushed, nothing is imposed, and no belief is required.
